            Presentation by Mimi Hahn, Director of Marketing, Monterey Bay Aquarium

Results or marketing research done by the Monterey Bay Aquarium as it relates to Pacific Grove economic development.

DISCUSSION OF EAC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The EAC was restructured and newly constituted in January 2010.  Mayor Garcia and City Manager Tom Frutchey will discuss any restructuring of related committees and commissions and EAC responsibilities and expectations.

ELECTION OF EAC CHAIR, VICE CHAIR AND SECRETARY

The EAC committee will accept nominations and elect members for the positions of Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.

1.   2007 Strategic Plan

Updated 12-16-09 Plan. Many items are complete.  Some will be continued to future EAC meetings.  Some are referred for discussion at the February Planning Session

2.   Business development and job creation

Receive a report from City staff regarding Goal 2 Strategies 1,2,3,4 of the 2007 Strategic Plan. 

1. Status of the Guide to Opening a Business in Pacific Grove.

2. Suggested business incentives to do business in Pacific Grove.

3. Status of signage to promote Pacific Grove businesses.

4. Plan to review of obsolete ordinances.
