                  Recommended Action:  Approve minutes as presented.

      (Comments from the audience will not receive HRC action.  Comments must deal with matters subject to the jurisdiction of the HRC and will be limited to three (3) minutes.  Comments regarding agenda items shall be heard prior to the consideration of such items at the time such items are called.  Whenever possible, letters should be submitted to the HRC in advance of the meeting.)

a.                  Discussion:  Review of Approved Pacific Grove Historic Context Statement and Preservation Program Considerations

Description:  Staff distributed copies of the approved Historic Context Statement and the accompanying Preservation Program Considerations at the December 21, 2011 HRC meeting.  Committee Member McCord has offered to lead a discussion on the contents of these documents, but is unable to attend the February 8, 2012 HRC meeting.  Thus, it is recommended that this item be continued to the March meeting.

CEQA Status:  Not a “project” under CEQA

Recommended Action:  Continue this discussion item to March 14, 2012.

 

7.         Regular Agenda

 

a.         Discussion:  Clean-ups to Historic Resources Inventory

Description:  Amanda Bensel, CDD Intern, will provide an update on the HRI clean-up project and present a proposed process for a deletion survey. 

CEQA Status:  This item is not a “project” under CEQA.  Action on future HRI clean-ups is subject to CEQA review.

Recommended Action:  Provide feedback to staff on HRI Clean-up project and proposed deletion survey process.

 

b.         Initial Historic Screening Request No. 12-0003:  813 Workman Place

Description: Review the available information and consider whether to make a “Preliminary Determination of Ineligibility” for the above referenced address. 

Applicant:  Rhea Mendoza-Lewis and Jeffrey Lewis, Owners

CEQA status:  Not a project under CEQA

Recommended action:  Discuss and take appropriate action.

   HRC members may ask a question for clarification, make a brief announcement or make a brief report on his or her activities. In addition, HRC members may provide a referral to staff or other resources for factual information, request staff to report back to the body at a subsequent meeting concerning a City matter or direct staff to place a request to agendize a matter of business on a future agenda (G.C. 54954.2).
