Housing Division

The City of Pacific Grove Housing Division has several loan programs designed to help low income residents meet code requirements and improve the safety, comfort and appearance of their homes. These loans are available to Pacific Grove residents who meet income requirements. When you apply for one of these loans, you will be asked to supply sufficient financial information to establish your eligibility. This information will always remain private and will never be used for any other purpose.

Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program provides loans up to $75,000 for home repairs.

Emergency Home Repair Program provides loans up to $10,000 for emergency home repairs. (don’t know why this is green)

Sewer Lateral Loan Program provides low interest loan up to $10,000 to repair or replace your private sewer lateral. These loans are available to all residents and there are no income requirements. These loans are deferred- no monthly payments are required!

Rental Assistance Program provides monthly assistance to close the gap between rents charged and what families can afford. The City is currently not taking new applications for this program.

The Housing Division also applies for and receives grants for housing studies and programs, monitors compliance with City restrictions on affordable housing units, and coordinates the City's efforts to develop senior housing.
