Planning Deparment
Land use issues are handled by the Planning Department. Long range planning encompasses the General Plan, Local Coastal Program and other documents that give general direction to the City's growth and development. Current planning currently involves zoning ordinance enforcement including historic preservation and architectural review processes. All plans for new construction or alterations are reviewed by this department for compliance and are often referred to the Architectural Review Board, Historic Resources Committee, and Planning Commission for action.
Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 12 pm & 1 pm - 5 pm
Friday: CDD closed to public, planners available by appointment only

NEW: The City now has an online research tool, www.pgparcel.net, where you can look up basic property information, including but not limited to, zoning district, land use designation, inclusion on the Historic Resources Inventory, and whether it's located in the Coastal Zone.
